Hey, here’s an idea. Let’s take a scanner that doesn’t work and hook it up to your computer instead of getting a functional one. Let’s take a scanner that your son has said is unable to scan anything well but refuse to throw it out, even though you bought it for about fifty dollars and you can get a new one for the same price. Congratulations, you are now my dad.
To be fair, I knew my dad’s scanner was terrible, but I figured I could just edit the comic as much as possible in Photoshop and put a better version up later. But that didn’t happen because the scan was so terrible that no amount of image editing would have even made it passable. There is no way anyone can look at the scanning quality and say “Yep, this is fine.” I should have used my tablet to make the next update, but I don’t like writing with the tablet after having fallen in love with my lettering guide and I hate the look of mechanical fonts. Besides, I just got done drawing the next update, and I wanted to work on other projects today.
So the comic is delayed because my dad is horrendously cheap. Maybe I can post some tablet-drawn art here on Thursday in place of an update. Last week’s exams are over (which also kept me from updating) so I now have enough time to make some comics. When I get back to school, I’ll update with my working scanner.
Thanks for sticking around.
